Paul McCartney a confirmé 4 autres dates à sa tournée On The Run incluant un concert au Centre Bell de Montréal, le 26 juillet
Le concert de McCartney au Centre Bell sera tout aussi attendu que celui du 12 août dernier; donné à guichets fermés. Mentionnons que son dernier passage à Montréal remontait à 1989.
Nul doute qu’on pourra entendre tous ses plus grands succès mais aussi des surprises, des chansons des Beatles, Wings, de pièces de sa carrière en solo.
McCartney a récemment terminé sa tournée Up and Coming et a joué plus d’une trentaine de spectacles devant plus de 1,000,000 fans depuis le mois de mars dernier jusqu’au 10 juin au MGM Grand Arena à Las Vegas, pour le plus grand plaisir d’une foule enthousiaste et recevant les meilleures critiques de sa carrière:

Depuis 2002, Paul est accompagné comme l’a décrit le Las Vegas Sun « de son meilleur groupe depuis… les Beatles »: Paul « Wix » Wickens (claviers, guitares, percussion, harmonica et voix), Rusty Anderson (guitare et voix), Abe Laboriel Jr. (batterie et voix) et Brian Ray (guitare, basse et voix).
De plus, McCartney a récemment performé en Amérique du Sud et en Amérique du Nord, en Grande-Bretagne, à la Maison-Blanche devant le Président Obama et sa famille et a reçu le prestigieux prix Gershwin pour la chanson populaire. Il y est retourné en décembre et recevait le prix Kennedy Center Honor, fut l’artiste invité au Saturday Night Live à New York City, donna une première performance au Apollo Theater de Harlem le 13 décembre, ainsi que 3 concerts intimistes en Grande-Bretagne. Il a joué dans le plus petit club de sa carrière à Londres, le légendaire 100 Club devant 300 personnes, ce qui défraya les manchettes en Chine. Les deux derniers spectacles furent donnés au Hammersmith Apollo et au O2 Academy de Liverpool, à guichets fermés.
McCartney a débuté son agenda le mois dernier avec son tout premier concert au Pérou, une première performance depuis 1993, et deux méga concerts au Janeiro Estadio Olimpico Joao Havelange à Rio, qui fut le premier concert à être diffusé en direct sur le web à travers l’Amérique Latine, et qui a été vu par plus de 1,5 millions de fans qui n’avaient pas pu mettre la main sur les 100,000 billets émis pour ce concert magique.
